I’M A LONDON-BASED FREELANCE JOURNALIST …

with an MA Media in Development from SOAS, University of London. I did my Bachelor’s of Journalism at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada and I have freelanced since 2017, working in print, digital and radio.

My hometown is Guelph, Ontario, but I tend to move around a lot. Since finishing my Bachelor’s, I have worked in Malaysia, Ghana and Nepal in the news media, humanitarian and development sectors.

I specialise in narrative storytelling from a human-interest perspective. My beats are broad – I cover human rights, aid and development, gender issues, and the arts – but I am increasingly interested in dissecting the intersections of culture and technology, and making this complex and fast-moving industry more accessible to all of us.
